SUSTAINABLE AND RESILIENT ENTERPRISE (SURE) – TRAINING OF TRAINERS

The “Sustainable and Resilient Enterprise” (SURE) training program aims to strengthen the capacities of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) to prepare for, react to and adapt to the impact of hazards such as disasters, conflicts, pandemics and others. SMEs that participate in the SURE training program have the ability to develop resilience strategies tailored to their unique situation and risk exposure. OBJECTIVES The objectives of the SURE Training of Trainers were: 1) Participants are able to provide training to entrepreneurs on SURE tools. 2) Participants are able to offer group or individual coaching sessions to entrepreneurs and/or management teams using SURE tools. 3) Participants are able to adapt and contextualize SURE training material to the needs of their target companies and the local risk context. CONTENT The certificate of participation (first level certification) certifies attendance and participation in the training of trainers programme. Participants can receive a certificate of achievement (second level of certification) only upon completion of the next phase which consists of training and coaching of entrepreneurs. The SURE program is made up of training workshops (face-to-face or online), self-guided learning modules and individual or group coaching sessions. During the training program, small businesses develop their resilience strategies in the face of different risks, adapted to their particular contexts. ACHIEVEMENT The certificate of participation (first level certification) issued in 2022 certified attendance and participation in the training of trainers (TOT) programme. This current certificate is a certificate of achievement (second level of certification) which is issued upon completion of the second phase that consisted of training and coaching of actual entrepreneurs that the candidate/participant has successfully completed. With this Certificate of Achievement, the named participant is certified to provide SMEs with training and coaching sessions on business resilience approaches, both online and face-to-face.
