EMBRACING CHANGE IN THE NEW ERA: EMPOWERING GENDER AGENTS OF CHANGE

This eLearning journey provided participants with the basic knowledge and guidance in understanding why gender equality matters, particularly in this “post Covid19 Era”. Going through the Block 1 (modules 1 & 2) participants comprehended why there is a need of change, while in Block 2 (modules 3, 4 & 5) explored tools and strategies for mainstream gender within their organizations, with the ultimate goal to contribute to make change happen. OBJECTIVES The course guided participants in exploring strategies and tools for identifying and addressing obstacles to gender equality and the empowerment of women in their context. It explored gender-centred tools to promote equality and decent work for all in the “new Era” and oriented participants in the concrete application. CONTENT Module 1: Why gender equality matters Module 2: The international framework for gender equality Module 3: What is gender mainstreaming about? Module 4: How to mainstream gender: Tools and strategies Module 5: Managing resistance: My commitment for change LEARNING METHODOLOGIES • Virtual training rooms within the E-Campus, the ITCILO learning management system • Interactive virtual training sessions held by international key experts • Webinars, videos, live interviews • Online readings • Virtual interactions and exercises • Breakout groups for online collaborative work • Brainstorming and knowledge sharing online • Tutoring and individual mentoring online • Quizzes, Q&A, self-assessment tests online
