


INFORMATION AND COMMUNICATION TECHNOLOGY. ISSA GUIDELINES, KOWNLEDGE-SHARING AND INNOVATION

The course used the ISSA Guidelines on Information and Communication Technology as a framework for assessing challenges and identifying innovations. The course emphasized on (1) ICT governance and management, (2) ICT service delivery, (3) data and information management, (4) interoperability, (5) data security and privacy and (6) mobile technologies.
OBJECTIVES
The training objectives of the course were to:
Impart the skills to find concrete solutions to support the delivery of the institution’s mandate through the effective use of ICT;
Equip participants with knowledge of the international professional standards of the ISSA Guidelines on ICT;
Develop a firm understanding of the main roles and responsibilities in the governance and management of ICT systems, particularly in supporting an institution’s business processes and the delivery of social security services;
Build capacity in ISSA member organizations to improve social security administration through the application of the ISSA Guidelines on ICT;
Support participants’ reflection on the corporate application of the Guidelines in their own organization;
Facilitate the formation of a network of practitioners with an understanding of the ISSA Guidelines
