In this course, participants learn how to contribute to the development of inclusive vocational training systems and programs that can overcome the range of barriers that exist for disadvantaged groups and individuals. This online training offering is organized in close collaboration with the ILO's Employment Department, Skills and Employability Branch and Humanity & Inclusion - Handicap International and addresses those who are motivated to learn how to improve the reach, quality and relevance of skills development programmes for all.
OBJECTIVES
At the end of the program, participants achieved the following objectives:
• Build awareness on key concepts and benefits of social inclusion in TVET for all
• Identify the underlying causes of inequalities, address questions of status, and challenge social perceptions +
• Learn how to overcome existing barriers to access and participation through carefully designed policy intervention and practical measures for inclusive TVET/skills development design and delivery.
CONTENT
• Module 1. Inclusive TVET Systems - Key concepts
• Module 2: Inclusive TVET Policies
• Module 3: Accessibility in TVET
• Module 4: Social Inclusion in skills training delivery
• Module 5: Making assessment and certification inclusive
• Module 6: Measures supporting school to work transition
ACHIEVEMENT
Participants were required to complete several exercises and six assignments/quizzes (one per module). After successfully completing the predefined modules, participants were required to present a capstone project as a final assignment, with the aim of demonstrating the consolidated learning obtained through the activities.
