Understand the fundamentals of Labour Market Statistics with a focus on the recent global statistical developments and the outcomes of the latest International Conferences of Labour Statisticians.
OBJECTIVES
The main objective of the Academy was to build the capacity of Labour market statisticians, labour market analysts, policy makers and social partners in the Arab region on how to better capture and analyze labour market data and produce quality statistics for the Arab region.
The academy aimed at expanding knowledge on measuring decent work indicators in the framework of the global SDG indicators. The Academy also highlighted the importance of modernizing labour market data collection systems to make them more flexible, effective, and effiecent in capture complex labour market realties
