The Trade, labour, environment and sustainable global value chains course provides participants with a comprehensive legal perspective on how international trade law interlinks with labour standards, environmental regulations, and corporate accountability in global supply chains.

The course explores how trade agreements incorporate labour and environmental provisions, ensuring compliance with international legal frameworks such as WTO agreements, ILO conventions, and regional trade arrangements. Participants will analyse the legal obligations of enterprises and governments in ensuring fair working conditions, sustainable trade practices, and responsible supply chain governance.

A significant focus is placed on the role of trade law in promoting sustainability, addressing due diligence obligations, and ensuring legal compliance in global trade transactions. The course also examines dispute resolution mechanisms in enforcing trade-related labour and environmental standards.
