The Global Young Professionals’ Academy (GYPA) is one of the flagship initiatives of the International Training Centre of the International Labour Organization (ITCILO), run in collaboration with the International Organisation of Employers (IOE). The Academy is an annual training programme designed for highly qualified young professionals under the age of 35 already working or aiming to work in employers’ and business membership organisations (EBMOs) around the world. The GYPA aims to build their capacity and skills to empower them to effect change and advance their careers within their organisations, and beyond, at the regional and international levels.
OBJECTIVES
Through the Academy, the young professionals will:
Acquire knowledge to implement and adapt policies at local, national, and international levels.
Gaine advocacy skills to engage more effectively with governments and stakeholders.
Refine their negotiation skills to participate in meaningful social dialogue.
Receive guidance to achieve greater policy impact.
