Project Design and Writing For ILO Partners in Ukraine

This five-day, in-person training programme provided participants with practical skills and methodologies to design structured and actionable projects. Through a combination of expert-led sessions, group exercises, and hands-on project development work, participants enhanced their capacity to develop project proposals aligned with international best practices in development cooperation.

OBJECTIVES

This certification attests that participants have achieved the following objectives:

  • Acquiring the knowledge and skills to effectively design and write project proposals in accordance with international best practices in development cooperation (UN organisations, the ILO, the EU, Multilateral Development Banks, INGOs, etc.).

  • Understanding the principles of stakeholder engagement in project design.

  • Developing a coherent, well-structured project document that aligns with donor requirements.

CONTENT

Participants engaged in interactive training sessions on the following topics:

  • Project Cycle Management: Key concepts and management processes.

  • Situation Analysis: Stakeholder and problem analysis.

  • Logical Framework Approach: Developing a structured project document.

  • Project Planning & Budgeting: Work breakdown structure, scheduling, resource allocation.

  • Risk Management & Monitoring: Identifying risks and performance indicators.

Upon completion of the programme, participants demonstrated their ability to apply key project design tools and techniques by developing a project concept note as a final deliverable.
