Global Workshop on eTutor Development

The ACTRAV education programme, in response to the wider ILO call for action, has supported trade union around the Globe as they continue to face the Pandemic. Over the last 18 months or so, many trade union educators and trainers have contributed to nearly all ACTRAV training activities. During this period, the experiences of trade union educators has been wide and varied with numerous challenges and solutions being experienced and developed. Now for the first time, ACTRAV will bring together leading trade union educators in a single global workshop that will provide an opportunity to understand their learning journey and to enhance our support to trade union education programmes and activities. OBJECTIVES Through this activity, ACTRAV will understand better the experience of trade union educators during the last 18 months of the pandemic; how have they are overcoming issues related to communication; building course development; delivering training via e-learning; dealing effectively with profound issues such as lack of internet access and to technology. CONTENT This activity kicks off a series of interconnected training events aimed at sharing of experiences, reviewing progress in training skills development, introduction and utilisation of new technology, and ways to better enhance trade union education and training programmes The initial phase of the activity will consist of three dedicated webinars targeting leading trade union educators drawn from across Africa, Asia, Europe and Latin America and the Caribbean.
