This training aims to equip employers and workers ‘representatives in the Philippines with the knowledge and skills necessary for the functioning of effective bipartite relations mechanisms, providing further knowledge on approaches to conflict management; dispute prevention mechanisms (collective bargaining, workplace cooperation, grievance handling mechanism) and bargaining styles.
OBJECTIVES
• Build the capacity of employers and workers ‘representatives in order to address the new challenges that the word of work is facing.
• Provide participants with updated tools and training materials to identify effective conflict management styles;
• Enhance and develop the knowledge, skills and competencies of the participants to intervene early in the life of a conflict before it escalates into a dispute;
• Provide participants with the skills necessary to understand the conflict dynamic and effective approaches to dispute resolution;
• Provide participants with fundamental core skills and competencies for achieving more effective and sustainable outcomes in conflict prevention and management;
• Identify mechanisms such as collective bargaining, grievance handling, and workplace cooperation that can support the effective prevention of labour disputes;
• Create a thorough understanding of both the workplace cooperation and grievance handling principles;
• Provide an overview of workplace cooperation and grievance handling in line with ILO standards
• Get equipped with the skills and tools to apply consensus-based methods of dispute resolution;
• Create a mutual understanding of how to relate to each other and lay the basis for sound industrial relations in their sector.
