TOWARDS ZERO TOLERANCE OF SEXUAL HARASSMENT IN THE GARMENT SUPPLY CHAIN - BEHAVIOURAL LEARNING INTERVENTION
Adisty Yuliani
Besides undermining equality as well as the safety and health of workers, sexual harassment at work has substantial direct and indirect organisational costs in terms of lost productivity, high turnover, under-performance, lower returns and higher labour costs.
Despite our agreement and determination to put a stop to it, it may not always be clear how to do it in practice, both as individuals and as members and/or decision-makers in the company.
This training operates both at the level of our individual behaviours and that of company policies and mechanisms, through a blend of traditional training and experimental Virtual Reality self-learning.
OBJECTIVES
By the end of the training, participants are able to:
• recognize inappropriate behaviour falling under the legal definition of "sexual harassment";
• consider sexual harassment through the lens of occupational safety an health prevention;
• master 5 different techniques to take individual action when witnessing inappropriate behaviour;
• identify entry points for effective policy action at the company level.
