OBJECTIVES
The main objective of the course was to equip national and international stakeholders with the necessary competencies to:
• Adjust data collection tools and processes as to maintain the production of work statistics during the pandemic, following the latest international standards;
• Produce relevant statistics to capture the impact of COVID-19 on participation in different forms of work (paid and unpaid);
• Interpret correctly the evolution of the main labour market indicators during the crisis
SPECIFIC LEARNING OBJECTIVES
• Review the main data production challenges faced during the pandemic and solutions identified;
• Understand the relevance of the ICLS standards to monitor the COVID-19 impacts;
• Familiarize with rapid surveys, alternative data collection tools to capture COVID-19 impacts on the world of work;
• Promote the measurement of unpaid work and telework, two priority topics during the pandemic;
• Highlight the importance of modernizing labour market data collection systems as to make them more resilient
