E-Learning on Leadership for Social Protection

This course aimed to ensure that professionals working in social protection across the world were empowered to step up to the challenge in order to drive change nationally and internationally. Through self-reflection, knowledge-sharing on good practices and live interaction with peers and sector experts, participants were able to hone core skills underpinning effective leadership for social protection. OBJECTIVES The training objectives of the course were to: • Identify trends and drivers that will shape the future of social protection • Understand fundamental concepts and values underpinning the very notion of ‘leadership’ • Leverage human capital for inclusive leadership • Resolve conflicts through dialogue • Harness emerging technologies • Optimise business processes for improved performance • Manage change by driving innovation • Find and amplify one’s voice CONTENT • Week 1: Laying the foundations • Week 2: Exploring leadership, becoming more self-aware • Week 3: Building Strong Teams • Week 4: Enhancing performance and effectiveness • Week 5: Governing change & dynamism • Week 6: Inspiring & communicating ACHIEVEMENT The course consisted of a number of online modules offered through the eCampus over a period of six weeks for an estimated total of 60 learning hours. The assessment for this course, based on a total of 100 points, consisted of: -Interactive Learning Activities (70 points) • Introduction video/activity • Survey • Discussion Forum • Live Sessions • Readings and videos • Wall of Commitment • Final Evaluation -Peer coaching surgery (week 3) (5 points) -Group exercise on business processes (Week 4) (5 points) -Final Assignment (20 points) NUMBER OF HOURS The E-Learning on Leadership for Social Protection consisted of 60 hours of learning.
