Training of Trainers on Responsible Business Conduct – TRACK RBC

The training of trainers (ToT) on RBC aimed at empowering EBMOs to set up and deliver innovative training services on RBC.
The EBMOs taking part in the ToT were able to launch innovative digital training services built on the training packages on RBC, developed by the Employers’ Activities Programme of the ITCILO, which offers a flexible and multi-tool approach that cuts across several issues applicable to different sectors of activities and different audiences.
The innovative training service that the EBMOs will be able to roll out after the successful completion of the ToT will enable them to strengthen outreach to existing members and attract potential new ones, as well as consolidate a leading position of the EBMO in promoting responsible and safe business practices in their countries.
OBJECTIVES
The objective of the ToT was to support participants representing EBMOs to set up and run an innovative training service on RBC.
Through the course, participants have:
Deepened their understanding of the key teams linked to RBC, the ILO fundamental principles and rights at work and the UN framework of Business and Human Rights
Consolidated and strengthened their technical knowledge on the 11 training modules of the RBC training package;
Explored different methodologies for online and face-to-face training delivery;
Experimented innovative techniques to effectively facilitate online courses
Enhanced their skills to deliver engaging and interactive sessions.
CONTENT
The training covered the technical modules on RBC exploring the following themes:
UN guiding principles on business and human rights and global supply chains;
Risk assessment, management systems and due diligence;
Access to remedy;
Due diligence for responsible recruitment of migrant workers;
Forced labour;
Freedom of association and collective bargaining;
Discrimination;
Social protection;
Pay and
Working time.
In addition to the technical knowledge participants learned:
Training and facilitation methodologies for interactive and engaging sessions both online and face to face
How to effectively prepare and deliver training sessions on RBC.
ACHIEVEMENT
Participants have:
Acquired technical knowledge on the RBC training package;
Learned how to create and run effective training sessions on RBC;
Strengthened their skills and competencies to deliver engaging training sessions, both online and face-to-face.
