Future of work in the Rural Economy

This self-paced course provides an opportunity for the participants to learn about a range of innovative approaches, tools and methods for promoting decent work in human-centred recovery to the COVID-19 crisis in the rural economy. OBJECTIVES Participants will be able to: • Understand the concept of decent work in the rural economy in the changing world of work, adaptable to their own national and local contexts • Attribute the roles of policy makers, including workers’ and employers’ organizations, required for the promotion of integrated and inclusive rural development and building back better • Recognise the importance of just transition towards environmental sustainability in the rural economy. CONTENT The course is divided into 3 modules: • Module 1 - Decent Work in the rural economy: a priority agenda • Module 2 - Policies for Decent Work in the Rural Economy • Module 3 - A Just Transition towards a resilient and sustainable rural economy
