industriAll Europe DIGITAL YOUTH ACADEMY

Within the framework of the ILO-EC cooperation, the Programme for Workers’ Activities of the International Training Centre of the ILO, in partnership with industriAll Europe, implemented an EU-funded project entitled ‘Strengthening Young Workers’ Voices for the Future of EU Industry’. The central activity of the project was the Digital Youth Academy focusing on 4 key topics: I. Future of Work; II. Digitalization; III. Just Transition and IV. Future of Unions. It aimed at strengthening industriAll’s youth structure and networks. OBJECTIVES Upon successful completion of the Academy, participants were able to : • Design and deliver activities aimed at increasing representativeness and visibility of young industrial workers among trade union membership; • Create and consolidate youth structures and increase youth participation in decision‐making bodies in national trade unions; • Practically apply the newly acquired knowledge on the drivers of the future of work and effectively contribute to the elaboration of trade union strategies on digitalization and just transition towards environmentally sustainable economies and societies for all CONTENT The Academy offered 8 eLearning modules: • Module 1 “ILO and International Labour Standards” • Module 2. “Non-standard forms of employment” • Module 3. “industriAll Europe and Youth” • Module 4: “Digitalisation” • Module 5: “Digital communication” • Module 6: “Just Transition” • Module 7: “Social Dialogue” • Module 8: “Future of trade unions” The Academy consisted of an estimated forty hours of synchronous and asynchronous online learning including European and sub-regional thematic webinars, eLearning modules in Articulate Rise, video lectures, info stories, tutor-based discussion on forums and related online activities. ECAMPUS The activity was delivered via the E-campus, the education platform of the International Training Centre of the ILO. The platform was used for the distribution of course information, training material, learning tasks, exchanges of good practices and experiences, feedback and multimedia content.
