To address the recruitment challenges in the Pacific region, the International Labour Organization (ILO), its training arm ITC-ILO, and the International Organization for Migration (IOM) have collaborated under the ILO-IOM Joint Labour Mobility for Sustainable Development and Climate Resilience in the Pacific Project. This initiative, supported by the Migration Multi-Partner Trust Fund (MPTF), aimed to deliver a regional training workshop focused on "Promoting Fair and Ethical Recruitment Processes.
OBJECTIVES
The primary justifications for the regional training workshop were:
To enhance the capacities of government officials and labour recruiters to understand challenges and opportunities related to recruitment of migrant workers and provide them with knowledge, tools and good practices examples to support design and implementation of fair and ethical recruitment practices from countries of origin of migrant workers.
To increase the knowledge and understanding of Government officials on International legal and normative frameworks, as well as legislative and administrative conditions and practices governing and enabling fair and ethical recruitment.

Module 2: The legal and normative framework for fair recruitment
Module 3: Public employment services and private employment agencies in a changing recruitment landscape
Module 4: Monitoring and enforcement of recruitment regulations

Module 6: The role of Labour Inspector in the fair recruitment processes
