This e-learning programme provided a comprehensive learning journey to understand and participate more actively in the social budgeting process of the social protection system in Indonesia.
OBJECTIVES
• Strengthen quantitative analytical skills in a coordinated shorter- and long-term planning of national social security system of Indonesia, as well as a set of associated quantitative planning tools;
• Reinforce knowledge and understanding of affordable financing for the reasonable and adequate overall floor of protection and comprehensive social security systems;
• Gain deeper knowledge on the different benefits and on the allocation of national funds taking into account the costs and benefits of different options with the aim of achieving progressively universal social protection;
CONTENT
• Module 1: Mapping of social protection programmes
• Module 2: Classifications of Revenue and Expenditure
• Module 3: Data Collection and Analysis of Revenue and Expenditure by Category
• Module 4: Demographic, Labour Force, Employment and Economic Outlook
• Module 5: Projection Methodology Social Protection Benefits
• Module 6: Policy Implications
• Module 7: Financing Strategies and Fiscal Space
ACHIEVEMENT
The assessment method consisted of:
• Pre-course activities (10%)
• Technical forums (50%)
• Final presentation (20%)
• Final technical report (20%)
The E-Learning on Social Protection for Indonesia consisted of 60 hours of learning over a period of 8 weeks.
