GOVERNANCE FOR SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT GOALS

Workshop on “GOVERNANCE FOR SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT GOALS”, to upgrade the capacity of Staff from Balochistan Government, in the planning and execution of investement for development thereby optimizing the utility and benefits of funding resources as well as the ability to effectively monitor and evaluate investments’ results and benefits. OBJECTIVES Understand the decision making process for the impactful investment in order to make sure that activities are designed based on risk assessment and migration tools are mastered in order to achieve more results for development and social inclusion. CONTENT Governance for Sustainable Development Goals course includes the following main topics: • Introduction to Project Management and Project cycle - Project Initiating • Project Planning WBS and alignment with SDG objectives • Project scheduling • Risk Management notion • Exercise on project risk management • Monitoring and Control • Investment Evaluation and relationship with policies • Project Procurement Strategy for Development • Toolbox for Market Intelligence Portfolio • The impact of International Agreements into Public Governance • Social protection frameworks and 2030 Agenda • Collecting and analysing social protection data • Producing social protection indicators of adequacy and coverage, including SDG 1.3.1 • Mapping social protection impacts • Making the case for social protection: advocating for change • Public finance for social protection: the Public Financial Management cycle • Creation of fiscal space for social protection • Inclusive growth, responsible business conduct and decent work • Financing Sustainable Development Goals • Employment Intensive investments • Case studies and group works • Study visit to IFAD, Rome NUMBER OF WEEKS: 2 WEEKS NUMBER OF HOURS: 45
