The social and solidarity economy (SSE) contributes to decent work, to an inclusive and sustainable economy, to social justice and to sustainable development. This training course allows, through real case studies, to explore in detail the many forms of this phenomenon which is so varied and diverse from country to country, but increasingly visible for its role in creating and sustaining jobs as well as in the provision of services to local communities.
OBJECTIVES
At the end of this training participants have acquired the ability to:
Understand the concept, the characteristics of SSE, the different organizational forms of SSE and to recognize the core values, principles and legal frameworks.
Recognize the bidirectional relationship between SSE and the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Analyse how the SSE can be a good model for the promotion of decent work and how it can contribute to meeting the challenges related to the future of work.
Discover the ILO's strategy and action plan on decent work.
CONTENT
Throughout the course, participants have been working on the following contents:

The pivotal role of the SSE in the pursuit of inclusive and sustainable development.
