Strengthening of the main actors involved in the pension sector's capacity to provide consulting, design, management and supervision of the national pension systems to better manage in the context of the global economic and financial changes.
OBJECTIVES
Through this training, participants should have acquired the knowledge to:
•Gain theoretical understanding of the core role and various functions of pension systems.
•Learn about design choices for different kinds of pension schemes (contributory and non-contributory) and how they can be integrated into a multi-pillar pension system.
•Critically analyse case studies of pension reforms in terms of their impact on coverage, adequacy and sustainability and gender-responsiveness.
•Apply acquired analytical skills and knowledge to formulation of pension design and reform proposals for specific country contexts.
•Learn how to participate more actively in the financial management of their pension schemes.
•Review the key requirements for effective pension administration, and explore the role of emerging technologies to improve effectiveness.
CONTENT
The Executive E-learning of Pension Policy and Management consisted of 60 hours of learning over a period of 6 weeks, structured as follows:
Phase 1 – The global pension landscape.
Phase 2 – Pension system objectives, functions and performance.
Phase 3 – Financial governance and management.
Phase 4 – Building integrated systems.
Phase 5 – Administration and management.
Phase 6 – Design and reform proposals.
ACHIEVEMENT
The assessment structure included the following elements:
•Introductory activities (6%)
•Technical Forum & Assignments (54%)
•Final Assignment and Final Presentation (40%)
