This course provides support to the Fire Service and Civil Defense in its efforts to bring increase capacity of inspector and ensure they are well versed in internationally accepted standards.
OBJECTIVES
Participants have been able to:
Module 1: Fire Safety inspections
• Become familiar with the requirements and guidance documents that should be understood for Means of Escape requirements for Existing Garment Factories
• Understand why these Means of Escape requirements are necessary to ensure that people are able to safely evacuate the building in the event of a fire.
• Become familiar with some of the more common problems that they are likely to come across during inspections.
Module 2: Emergency Action Plans (EAP)
• Understand the importance of an emergency action plan
• Understand what should be included in a fire EAP
• Develop a draft EAP
