An Introduction to Labour Market Information Systems (ASEAN Countries)

Strengthening Labour Market Information Systems (LMIS) in ASEAN for better skills and employment policies, linked with and planned in the SLOM-WG Work Plan 2021-2025, aims to support ASEAN Member States (AMS) to better understand the functioning of the labour markets and the impact of policies and programmes on skills and employment outcomes and decent work indicators. The project’s technical assistance is designed to build capacities of AMS to anticipate and match future skills needs, including through improved knowledge and understanding on how to develop effective labour market information and skills anticipation systems. The main objective of the course was to provide participants with an introduction to the main components, functions, and applications of a Labour Market Information System (LMIS). OBJECTIVES “Provide participants with a basic understanding of the main functions, components, and applications of a Labour Market Information System (LMIS).
