This tutor-based online certification programme is designed to meet the needs of professionals working in adult learning environments with diverse profiles such as trainers, coaches, and tutors. This comprehensive training course aims to enhance the knowledge, skills, and competencies of professionals involved in training, adult education and team leaders. The program covered aspects of training, coaching, and tutoring to equip learners with a broader set of instructional techniques, communication skills, and approaches to engage effectively with adults.
OBJECTIVES
• Gain a thorough understanding of learning approaches, theories, and adult learning principles applicable to both Face-to-Face (F2F) and Distance Learning modalities.
• Acquire skills in defining clear learning objectives and structuring training content to maximize its impact.
• Master core and participatory instructional methods for F2F sessions and explore innovative tools and methods for delivering engaging Distance Learning experiences.
• Develop expertise in establishing evaluation criteria, understanding various types and methods for effective training assessment.
CONTENT
• TRAINING FUNDAMENTALS: illustrating learning approaches and theories. Recalling adult learning principles. Identifying key actors and their roles in both F2F and Distance Learning environments. Project procurement planning and processes: linking the project and procurement cycles for effective project implementation.
• TRAINING NEEDS ANALYSIS: conducting a Learning Needs Analysis (LNA) and identify gaps in learners’ knowledge, skills, and competencies Using procurement methods strategically to respond to particular project contexts, situations and needs.
• TRAINING ACTIVITY DESIGN: defining clear learning objectives. Structure training content effectively. Design meaningful learning journey.
• TRAINING DEVELOPMENT: producing purposeful training materials to meet defined objectives. Apply accessibility and inclusivity principles to develop training material.
• TRAINING FACILITATION AND DELIVERY: mastering effective facilitation techniques and participatory instructional methods and employ tools and innovative methods for online training delivery.
• TRAINING EVALUATION: understanding criteria for effective training assessment. Explore various types and methods of evaluation to ensure training success.
ACHIEVEMENT
This certificate of achievement has been delivered to the participants that have produced the required deliverables by completing the self-guided modules, the knowledge tests, the case studies and the assignments.
I. Distance learning modules and knowledge test (25 hours)
• Completion of eight tutor-guided online modules
• Acquisition of practical knowledge to facilitate adult training
II. Practical case studies and assignments (30 hours)
• Completion of eight practical case studies and eight individual assignments to simulate performing the essential tasks needed to design and deliver adult training
III. Communcation skills, Instructional and facilitation technics and the use of participatory training methods and digital tools (5 hours)
Participation in online learning activities to build communication and facilitation skills and familiarize with the use participatory instructional training methods and digital tools.
