This Certification programme aims to build participants’ capacity to implement ILO Participatory Gender Audits (PGA) in organizations. The ILO PGA is a tool for conducting institutional diagnostics from a gender perspective, assessing the degree of integration of gender equality across all levels of an organization.
OBJECTIVES
The objective of this Certification programme was for participants to develop the required skills and competencies to plan and conduct Participatory Gender Audits in organizations in line with the ILO methodology. To this end, participants explored the guiding principles, fundamentals, and key components of the ILO Participatory Gender Audit methodology.

Overview of the PGA methodology
Planning a PGA
Forming a PGA facilitation team
The PGA analytical framework
The PGA desk review
The PGA interviews
The PGA workshops and relevant exercises
The PGA report writing process
ACHIEVEMENT
The participant has undertaken the PGA certification course (60 hours) and has successfully completed the required exams. The Certification Committee attests that the participant has the gender expertise and audit methodology competencies required to be a Participatory Gender Audit Facilitator.
This Certificate of Achievement is valid for 5 years. Certified Facilitators are required to share their experience in the PGA Community of Practice, so that their Certification may be renewed at the end of the 5-year term.
