





National Professional Certification Programme in Public Procurement Management for the Government of Zimbabwe – Training of Trainers.

The Training of Trainers on Training Methodologies and Training Design (blended) is the last step of the Professional Certification Programme on Procurement Management designed for the Government of Zimbabwe. The ToT aimed to build capacity to deliver training for practitioners engaged in procurement management. Strengthening the development of a pool of future trainers is functional to ensuring sustainability of the professionalization initiative in public procurement management of the Government of Zimbabwe. In particular, this programme sought to foster capacity in training methodologies, facilitation and training design, learning management cycle, on-site and online learning techniques and technology integration. It also aimed to equip the participants with the latest training techniques as well as through microteaching performance assessment.
OBJECTIVES
The Training of Trainers served the following objectives:
Strengthen capacity in training methodologies, facilitation and training design, learning management cycle; techniques and technology integration
Demonstrate how a structured and high-quality capacity building process could drive successfully the change and consequently reform’s results.
Advance skills and expertise on Training Methodologies applied to advanced procurement management
Equip the participants with the latest training techniques that serve professionalization in public procurement
CONTENT
The Training of Trainers on Training Methodologies and Training Design (blended) is specifically designed on the following topics:
Phase 1: Distance Learning
Module 1 - Training Methodologies, Facilitation and Training Design
Phase 2: Face-to-Face
Module 2 - Learning Management Cycle; techniques and technology integration
Module 3 - Class Performance Assessment on Microteaching
Phase 3: Follow-up
Post-training reflection and follow-up week
ACHIEVEMENT
This Certificate of Achievement has been delivered to the participants that have produced the required deliverables by completing successfully all training activities related to the three phases: 1) Distance Learning; 2) Face-to-Face; 3) Follow-up.
The overall duration of the course has been 3 weeks, requiring 60 hours in total to complete the following learning activities:
Phase 1: Distance Learning: 20 hours per week to complete:
the self-guided modules and related readings: 4 hours
the assignment: 3 hours
the participation in the webinars: 3 hours
Phase 2: Face-to-Face : approximately 35 hours, entailing lectures, group activities, role-plays, exercises and the micro-teaching preparation, delivery and assessment.
The Follow-up Phase: approximately 5 hours
