Ending Violence and Harassment in the World of Work – a Training for Change-Makers
Waseem Abdulfatah KALBONEH
Violence and harassment at work are a threat to the dignity, security, health and wellbeing of everyone, affecting not only workers and employers, but also their families, communities, economies and society at large. In June 2019, through the adoption of ILO Convention no. 190 and Recommendation no. 206, the global community made it clear that such phenomenon cannot be tolerated, and the world of work needs to be equipped to put a stop to it. This 3-day workshop combines training-of-trainers elements with sessions focusing on sharing international experiences and good practices as well as more participatory.
Sessions geared towards fine-tuning specific skills. You will refresh your knowledge about the key innovations of ILO Convention No. 190 and Recommendation No. 206 and at the same time learn how to best communicate such innovations, sensitize, and train others about them. With the help of experts, present in person or teleconference, you will also zoom-in on some technical aspects of these instruments and be provided with real examples of practical tools (eg. checklists, model policies, questionnaires etc.) to facilitate implementation.
