GLOBAL FORUM ON THE MLC, 2006

The Global Forum on MLC, 2006 - at its fifth edition - is the international event for supporting and facilitating knowledge sharing on key issues related to the implementation of the MLC, 2006 as amended and its main challenges.

OBJECTIVES

The Global Forum aimed at updating knowledge and facilitating a better understanding of key issues in the maritime sector.

CONTENT

The 2024 edition focused on the following aspects:

• Working & living at Sea: Promoting and protecting the enjoyment of human rights by seafarers;

• Enforcing the MLC, 2006 through PSC and ITF Inspectors contribution & Regional MoUs perspectives;

• Ensuring a safe and healthy workplace: approaches to prevent violence & harassment on board.
