This Training of trainers (ToT) blended learning course is a follow up of the two previous eLearning courses on Capacity Building Initiative for SAB Members: towards a more effective and relevant TVET in Lebanon.
OBJECTIVES
The ToT course aims to equip the trainees with the knowledge and skills to effectively train other SAB members using the participatory learning approach where the participants are considered partners in the learning process and building on their knowledge, skills and experiences.
CONTENT
The ToT on Capacity Building of SAB members is a blended learning course, that combines a three-week online training and a three-day in person training sessions in Lebanon. The training covers theoretical information, discussions and debates, workshops, group work, practical activities, and role-play exercises. The ToT course includes practical aspects to let the participants learn from each other by sharing their experiences and skills and applying the gained theoretical knowledge through interactive sessions. Guided by the trainers the participants prepared and delivered their own training session with self-evaluation, and feedback from their peers and trainers.
ACHIEVEMENT
By the end of the course the participants were able to:
• develop appropriate attitudes to manage training sessions on capacity building of SAB members;
• manage various training techniques and tools, and means of training and learning activities;
• design appropriate training sessions based on the SAB members’ needs;
• deliver appropriate participatory training activities confidently in person and via remote channels;
• analyse and evaluate the training session proceedings and use the results to improve future sessions;
• use effective communications skills to manage sessions and deal with different personalities with a positive approach;
• provide self-evaluation and constructive feedback to their peers;
• facilitate and support the development of the content of the SAB Action Plan
