OBJECTIVES
The course on protection and empowerment of vulnerable workers aimed at promoting inclusiveness in trade union organizations. The course provided the trade unions with the tools to strengthen the voice and visibility to the most vulnerable workers and make the unions more democratic, participatory, inclusive and responsive for all the workers. The course particularly focussed on:
a. gender equality and diversity;
b. migrant and domestic workers,
c. young workers, including in non-standard forms of employment as well as platform workers.
At the end of the course, participants were able to:
• Represent and defend the rights of workers in vulnerable situations: namely women and diverse groups of workers, migrant and domestic workers, workers in non-standard forms of employment
• Design activities aimed at attracting new members, representing a more diversified workforce and ensuring greater attention to equality, diversity and inclusion,
• Apply good practices on new forms of representation and organizational models, with a better understanding of social dialogue issues and collective agreement provisions to protect vulnerable workers,
• Assess the current communication strategies and identify gaps in the current approach; define communication goals and messages towards targeted groups of workers and design engaging digital content.
