Build Trade Union Power to Create a Fairer Europe

The Conference was designed as a knowledge sharing and dissemination event of the large-scale EU-funded project Build Trade Union Power to Create a Fairer Europe designed and delivered by the EFFAT in cooperation with the Programme for Workers’ Activities of the ITC-ILO. Nine training activities implemented in 2021-2022 converged in the final conference where participants showcased most successful practices and actions in the field of inclusiveness, with emphasis on youth in non-standard forms of employment, gender equality and diversity and migrant and domestic workers. The conference focused on sharing experience and knowhow among participants and collection of lessons learnt aiming to identify possible joint actions and common grounds from participants’ point of view. The Final Conference geared the participants towards drafting Guidelines for Inclusiveness, with the objective of growing membership through the inclusive approach. The network of trade unions officers and activists with a strong background built on the project axes, contributed to stimulate an integrated strategy for EU level action for workers in vulnerable situations in the sectors of agriculture, food industry, tourism and domestic work. CONTENT The Final Conference: Build Trade Union Power to Create a Fairer Europe consisted of ten sessions covering the following topics: Sharing good practices in organizing and outreach to new groups of workers Constructing Inclusiveness Guidelines for: - young workers in non-standard forms of employment - gender equality - diversity - migrant and domestic workers - platform workers Climate change and just transition Foresight strategies, tools and techniques to anticipate future scenarios Recommendations for Future Actions ACHIEVEMENT The Certificate of Participation hereby attests that the participant took part in the Final Conference: Build Trade Union Power to Create a Fairer Europe.
