The ITCILO and the IOE offered an online training programme on an introduction to the International Labour Standards (ILS) and ILO Standards Supervisory System, highlighting their significance for Employer and Business Membership Organisations (EBMOs).

This course provided insights into how ILS shape global labour practices, promoting fair, safe, and productive work environments. It was designed for representatives of EBMOs and IOE members interested in deepening their understanding of ILS and exploring how they can influence and engage with the ILO system.

OBJECTIVES

The online programme aimed at providing employer representatives with the key information to:

  • Stay informed about the latest developments in ILS

  • Gain knowledge of the ILO Standards Supervisory System

  • Learn how to effectively contribute to the ILO Standards Supervisory System as an employer through reporting and submitting comments

  • Network with peers and experts, including special sessions with ILO representatives
