Upgrading informal apprenticeships

This course equips participants with the knowledge and skills necessary to collaboratively advance and enhance informal apprenticeship programs, encompassing policy development, advocacy for safe working conditions, provision of technical support and resources, and strategic investments to promote program quality and recognition in order to empower apprentices with improved access to quality training, enhanced employability, and better career prospects, thus mutually benefiting both the labour market and apprentices. OBJECTIVES The course endorses a holistic approach to the global framework and human-centered upgrading process focusing on some key specific topics: • Quality apprenticeships policies and strategies, following a rights-based approach • Universal TVET system design from access to participation, graduation and transition to work • Adaptive learning methodologies • Framework for analysis of informal apprenticeships • Targeted measures for transition from Informal apprenticeships to quality apprenticeships.
