Virtual reality in skills development

This course, jointly organized by the ITCILO and Mimbus, with the technical support of Evol’Job, aims at understanding this growth while equipping participants with the vocabulary and the tools to analyze, understand, and deliver VR learning and training projects, which will be pivotal in transforming their sector’s offer according to the labor market demands, while placing the users’ needs and values at centerstage. OBJECTIVES To master the skills needed to successfully design and deliver their lesson/training, participants have: • Become versed in the vocabulary used in the VR realm and in the current VR technologies’ landscape to identify the most suitable solutions to serve both their sector’s and the users’ needs. • Understood the pedagogical approaches guiding the choice of VR technologies for learning and training purposes, as well as their application for skills development. • Dived into and leartn from authentic VR experiences along with dedicated VR hardware and software. CONTENT Week 1: Introduction to VR technologies. Week 2: The pedagogy of the VR realm. Week 3: Delivery of VR-enhanced instructional scenarios for TVET. Week 4: Integration of the VR-enhanced learning/training scenario in your curriculum. NUMBER OF HOURS: 30
