


Training II: Information and consultation on green and just transition

The training activity on Information and consultation on green and just transition consisted of one week of online training and 2.5 days of training in presence. The online component included watching and analysing videos, reading assignments, navigating a self-guided e-learning module and engaging in peer-to-peer forum discussion.
During the face-to-face phase, the participants explored sustainable development, ILO Just Transition Guidelines, and European Works Councils, featuring presentations by key ILO representatives and industry leaders, and in-depth case studies of multinational companies’ good practices. The event concluded with a study visit to the CNH plant in Modena to observe sustainable industrial practices in action.
OBJECTIVES
Upon successful completion of the training, the participants were able to:
understand the concept of sustainable development
explain how just transition can be achieved
describe how social partners can contribute to just transition following the ILO Guidelines
understand the Paris Agreement and nationally determined contributions
compare just transition cases and practices
describe how the European Green Deal is supporting a just transition
point out the key elements of the current CNH approach to sustainability.
