This 5-days workshop combines training-of-trainers elements with sessions focusing on sharing international experiences and good practices as well as more participatory sessions geared towards fine-tuning specific skills.
OBJECTIVE
This course will equip participants with the tools to:
- Identify key innovations, core principles and transformative elements of ILO C190 and R206;
- Sensitize and train others on the “fundamentals” of such elements;
- Approach and actively participate in policy dialogue around the topic and at different levels;
- Apply and adapt existing tools and emerging practices to your specific context and priorities;
- Internalize elements of change theory as applying to your specific context and vantage point;
- Formulate effective arguments and advocacy strategies to drive the change forward;
CONTENT
- Violence and harassment as a single concept – reconstructing the range of unacceptable behaviours;
- The inclusive, integrated, gender-responsive and victim-centred approach;
- Violence and harassment, occupational risks and psychosocial factors: learning to apply the OSH lens;
- The process of ratification of and ILO Convention: what it entails and how to prepare for it;
- The development of workplace policy documents for prevention of violence and harassment
- Integrating violence and harassment concerns in social dialogue practices and collective bargaining agreements;
- Handling grievances and dispute resolution on violence and harassment: DOs and DONTs;
- Elements of change theory (understanding change as a process, understanding influence and power, identifying stakeholders, allies and blockers, formulating arguments and strategies, becoming advocates).
