GENDER MAINSTREAMING AND SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT

1 - 31 March 2021 This online course covered the basic concepts and key international gender equality frameworks, as well as the ILO decent work agenda. The course provided tools for analysing gender issues in various settings and to include gender planning in any work environment. The course covered the various forms of resistance and suggested strategies to overcome them. The course is based mainly on existing, well-tested ITCILO training packages OBJECTIVES This course provided learners with information and a set of training tools to be used in the learners’ work context in order to promote gender equality and women empowerment and to support mainstream gender efforts in the work place. CONTENT Become fluent with the gender equality by understanding: • the key gender concepts • the international frameworks • the key issues on gender equality in the world of work Analyse and plan: • to implement gender analysis in a country context Promote and communicate • to develop the business case for gender equality and women empowerment • to identify and manage resistances
