E-Learning Lab on Digital TVET & future skills

E-Learning Lab on Digital TVET & future skills is part of the Skills Academy for the GCC, comprising a series of training programmes that are the result of extensive consultation and coordination work with the Council of Ministers of Labour in GCC States and the Decent Work Team of the ILO for the Arab States. The training programme has been designed to be implemented over a period of 4 weeks (20 November –17 December 2022) with one module running for one week. OBJECTIVES The course is structured around 4 modules and covers the most essential elements, quick tips and hands-on practice allowing participants to rapidly shifting face-to-face content of a module into an online offer. Participants will get familiar with concrete tools and technologies to develop interesting, engaging and entertaining learning contents. Specifically, upon completion of the course participants will have: • Gained a better understanding of the ILO framework of building blocks for skills systems. • Carried on a joint self-evaluation of the GCC skills system using the provided framework of building blocks. • Understand the key challenges and features of digital transformation in TVET and identify key concepts, modalities and formats of e-learning in TVET • Learn and apply user experiences in e-learning • Define goals and translate them into expected outcomes • Recognize the use of different learning management systems used in TSOO • Learn how to set up and edit Moodle • Learn about the main Moodle tools and which tools to use according to the pedagogical goal you want to achieve • Recognize tools for creating multimedia e-learning content • Understand the definition of multimedia design content • Using video activities for teaching activities CONTENT This course consists of the following learning units: • MODULE 1: introduction to e- learning • Module 2: The platform- LMS • Module 3: Learning technology • Module 4: E- facilitation and e- learning METHODOLOGY This course has been designed on the basis of a learner-centred approach in order to actively involve participants and keep them motivated. After the participant has completed each module and submitted the assignment through the course platform, a tutor will provide feedback and the participant will be given access to the next module.
