Training on Project Management for Procurement

The course has been delivered over five-week period of time with one 5-hour training module per week with 3 hours live/synchronous learning and two hours offline/asynchronous learning. Each project team has had one main task to accomplish to move their project for procurement forward. This task was concrete, applied to their work for UNFPA and executed in a team. OBJECTIVES This course provided tools and techniques to design projects to improve procurement systems and processes in UNFPA. Participants have explored the key concepts of both, UNFPA procurement systems and processes through group work, and project management through webinars and practical application of a project design methodology. They contextualized their learning with group work to the procurement, contracts and projects they were engaged in at the time of the course. CONTENT The main topics on which the course was focused were: - Project Context Analysis - Strategic Management and Planning - Risk Management - Team Building, Implementation and Communication - Monitoring and Evaluation At the end of the course participants designed a complete project concept note using all the knowledge learned during the training.
