The M3 Certification Programme provides advanced elements of specialization for procurement officers with a special focus on advanced contract management and sustainable procurement. In addition, it addresses other areas of knowledge and specialization such as e-procurement and the application of IFAD Social, Environmental and Climate Assessment Procedures (SECAP) through project procurement.
OBJECTIVES
Upon completion of the M3 certification programme, participants are able to:
• present a strategic and general overview of public procurement and its recent developments: current trends in contract management, e-procurement, sustainable public procurement, IFAD Social, Environmental and Climate Assessment Procedures (SECAP);
• define a detailed and comprehensive framework of processes and tools to be established to plan and monitor contract management;
• explain how to integrate sustainability considerations—social, environmental and economic—into the procurement cycle;
• raise awareness of project stakeholders on SECAP and the importance of procurement in complying with the Social, Environmental and Climate Standards.
