EMPOWERING UN SYSTEM AGENTS OF CHANGE FOR GENDER EQUALITY

This capacity-building programme, collaboratively designed and implemented by the ITCILO and the UN Women Training Centre, introduced Gender Focal Points and agents of change to the UN gender architecture and the latest policies and frameworks to advance gender equality. OBJECTIVES • Recognize gender inequalities • Refer to the international legal framework to strengthen gender equality and women’s empowerment • Manage and apply strategies to mainstream gender equality and women’s empowerment within the UN • Access a global community of practice for discussion and knowledge-sharing • Elaborate an individual action plan aimed to strengthen gender equality and women’s empowerment CONTENT Participants reviewed the following content: Module 1: Why gender equality matters Module 2: The international framework for gender equality Module 3: Lead the change Module 4: Build a community of practice Module 5: Managing resistance: My commitment for change NUMBER OF HOURS: 50
