To better equip public and private actors to engage in the dialogue and policy making on how enterprises can contribute to SDG 8 and other goals closely linked to the Decent Work Agenda through their operations and through business relationships. OBJECTIVES - Have a clear understanding of how enterprises can contribute to the Decent Work Agenda and to the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development through sustainable, responsible and inclusive business practices - Become familiar with the ILO MNE Declaration as a framework for dialogue and action - Understand how different instruments and frameworks in particular the United Nations Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights, the OECD Guidelines for Multinational Enterprises, the UN Global Compact and the ILO MNE Declaration complement each other and bring coherence for the realization of decent work for all. - Better grasp the smart mix of measures of initiatives that stimulate business contribution to decent work for all CONTENT Module I: How enterprises can contribute to the achievement of SDG 8? Module II: The ILO MNE Declaration: a framework for action Module III: How enterprises can contribute to the realization of the Fundamentals Principles and Rights at Work? Module IV: How to realize decent work through the promotion of responsible, sustainable, inclusive business practices? Initiatives from across the UN system Module V: Initiatives to promote responsible business conduct at the regional and national levels
