Augmented Reality in Skills Development

The training course on Augmented Reality was aimed at TVET specialists, managers and teachers of TVET centers in order to develop their skills to embed the use of Augmented Reality (AR) in TVET and Skills development pathways. OBJECTIVES The overall objective of this training was to strengthen the capacities of TVET professionals to improve the quality and dissemination of Augmented Reality in the field of skills development and vocational training, as well as to adopt effective approaches and tools to promote different forms of involvement and learning by users of vocational training. CONTENT Throughout the 3 weeks, the participant was able to select, design and implement an Augmented Reality lesson. The course was structured as follow: • Week 1: Learn how to use the EON Reality Education platform for the design of your AR lessons and discover AR methodologies of teaching • Week 2: Design your Augmented Reality lesson • Week 3: Feedback sessions on your lesson • Individual work: Improvement and finalization of your AR lesson The micro-course included also add-on thematic webinars with subject matter experts on the intersection between Artificial Intelligence and Augmented Reality as well as the future of XR in skills development. NUMBER OF HOURS: 30
