GLOBAL FORUM ON THE MLC, 2006

The Global Forum is an annual event to open a dialogue amongst key actors in the maritime industry focused on the key aspects related to the implementation of the MLC, 2006 as amended and on its main challenges in relation to key issues affecting the full implementation of the Convention. OBJECTIVES The Global Forum aimed at updating knowledge and facilitating a better understanding of key issues in the maritime sector. CONTENT The 2023 edition focused on the following aspects: • Towards a new social contract for shipping. • Digitalization in shipping industry and the Human-centred approach. • Implementing the MLC, 2006 through Social dialogue and private initiative.
