Certification Programme for Green Business Trainers

The Certification Programme for Green Business Trainers teaches business trainers, consultants and advisors how to best support small businesses in their journey to environmental sustainability. The certificate of achievement attests the successful finalization of the full trainers’ certification programme (90 learning hours).

OBJECTIVES

The programme provided participants with tools and knowledge to effectively train and coach small enterprises that want to sell environmentally friendly products and/or make their processes more environmentally sustainable. The main content of the programme included:

• Resource efficiency and cleaner production

• Circular economy

• Life cycle management

• Environmental management systems

• Eco-certification and labelling

CONTENT

The course was delivered through a combination of self-guided learning modules, training webinars and training of trainers webinars, during which participants themselves delivered training sessions of the ITCILO/GIZ/UNEP Green Business Guide and Green Business Trainers’ Guide. These training materials take entrepreneurs step-by-step towards green business strategies that are environmentally, socially and economically viable.

ACHIEVEMENT

Participants participated in:

• Fifteen webinars of 90 minutes each

• Six self-guided learning modules of 120 minutes each

• Delivery of an on-line training session

• Marketing and delivery a green business training programme to at least 10 SMEs
