Track 1 - Decent work for youth in EU industry

The training activity on Decent work for youth in EU industry consisted of one week of online learning and 2.5 days of training in presence. The focus of the course was twofold: i. Decent work for youth in EU industry and ii. Digital communication tools, techniques, and strategies.

The online component included participating in a live webinar, watching and analysing videos, reading assignments, engaging in peer-to-peer forum discussion and uploading a digital strategy.

During the face-to-face phase, the participants explored global employment trends for youth and the ways in which youth-led organizations can enhance youth employment outcomes. They applied digital communication tools and techniques and designed digital communication strategies.



OBJECTIVES

Upon successful completion of the training, the participants were able to:

  • Recognize the challenges young people face in the labour market, and identify effective strategies and policies to promote decent work for youth

  • Identify strategies to strengthen youth representation and agency in social dialogue

  • Set clear objectives for digital communication

  • Apply social listening and audience analysis techniques

  • Design and implement a digital survey methodology tailored for organizing young workers in trade unions

  • Develop targeted social media strategies to support labour actions
