UNEG Evaluation Training Certificate Course (For Intermediate Level Officers)

This course has been developed as an Evaluation Training Certificate Course for intermediate level officers working in the United Nations system. The overarching objective of the course is to strengthen key evaluation-related competencies as identified in the UNEG Competency Framework to support the delivery and use of high-quality evaluations. OBJECTIVES Following completion of the course, learners will be able to: • Design, manage and conduct evaluation in line with the UNEG ECF - Evaluation Competency Framework; • Value and promote useful and quality evaluations for accountability, learning and informed decision-making. CONTENT The course comprises seven modules and one introductory section. The seven modules are structured to replicate the usual phases of the Evaluation process: • Module 1: Introduction, Context and Evaluation Actors • Module 2: Evaluation Planning and Scoping Phase • Module 3: Evaluation Design • Module 4: Reaching the Inception Phase • Module 5: Evaluation Implementation: Data collection • Module 6: From Data Analysis to Reporting • Module 7: Dissemination, follow-up and uptake The course concludes with a final comprehensive knowledge test. Digital certification of completion is issued to learners who completed all modules requirements and the final knowledge test with a minimum grade of 80%. NUMBER OF HOURS: 15
