E-learning Course on the Management of Vocational Training Centres – Advanced

The course provided key insights and up-to-date information on current and future megatrends influencing skills development and TVET in the COVID and post-COVID era. Specifically, it analysed the implications for TVET Centres in relation to a series of topics and challenges that have been deepened and/or amplified in the last 18 months such as the green transition, the digital transformation, the labour migration and demographic changes, and other key developments of the social and economic global picture. Furthermore, this programme examined concrete options to improve the relevance of TVET Centres’ offer and enhance the responsiveness of training institutions to the demands of their ecosystems. OBJECTIVES At the end of the eLearning programme, participants acquired a holistic understanding of key topics shaping Technical and Vocational Education and Training in the COVID and post-COVID era. In particular, participants: - Analysed a number of mega trends impacting the world of work and training; - Developed a thorough understanding on the importance of shaping TVET Centres’ response for better employment outcomes in the current context; - Examined specific measures, mechanisms and approaches for the design and implementation of relevant TVET vis-à-vis the global mega trends. CONTENT - Module 1: Systemic Approach to Skills Development - Module 2: Digital transformation in TVET - Module 3: Labour migration and recognition of prior learning (RPL) - Module 4: A holistic approach to Greening TVET - Module 5: Skills anticipation and matching - Module 6: Facilitating school-to-work transition through Quality apprenticeships - Module 7: TVET Centre and a lifelong learning approach: financing new services METHODOLOGY This innovative e-learning course has been designed according to a learner-centred approach in order to better involve participants and keep them motivated. It is highly interactive and engaging, using different methods throughout the seven modules to make the content interesting, relevant and engaging. ACHIEVEMENT Learning hours: 60 hours Participants were required to complete various exercises and seven assignments (one per module). After successfully completing the pre-defined modules, participants were required to submit a capstone project as final assignment, with the aim to demonstrate the consolidated learning gained through the course activities.
