ILO Kenya Innovation Bootcamp

The overall goal of the Innovation Challenge conducted by ILO PROSPECTS Kenya in Kenya is to strengthen the digital economy ecosystem in Turkana and Garissa counties and support the growth of SMEs in the digital economy with a view of providing decent job opportunities to refugees and host communities. OBJECTIVES - Revise the organizations’ proposals and budgets to ensure feasible innovations - Network and connect with the other winning organizations and project partners - Define next steps for the way forward toward project success CONTENT The Innovation Bootcamp aims to identify and support business development implementing partners and training institutions that contribute to the development and growth of SMEs in the digital economy for refugees and host communities. Winners of the Innovation Challenge will propose intervention models that contribute to expanding the digital economy ecosystem in Turkana and Garissa counties, improving access to digital markets, and promoting digital literacy and skills development for young people. Winning organizations will be receiving cash grants from USD 5,000 to USD 20,000 (administered by Eldohub) as well as technical support as they implement and scale up their proposed interventions.
