FINANCIAL EDUCATION: TOT, COACHING AND ILO CERTIFICATION

This Online Training of Trainers (O-TOT) combined intense training of trainers on both content and methodological issues. The programme contained certification options to candidates willing to finalize it and become ILO certified national trainers in Financial education during 2023. This training programme brings together the accumulated experience, lessons learned and best practices on financial education, drawing on more than 15 years’ experience at the ILO. OBJECTIVES The ILO Social finance programme and the International Training Center of the ILO offer participants the possibility to become certified trainers in the ILO Financial education training package. The final certification of selected candidates as ILO National trainers will be conducted in 2024. CONTENT • ILO's Financial Education approach. • Principles of adult learning and participatory training • Distance Learning tips. Digital tools • Demonstration sessions by senior facilitators and micro-session delivery by participating trainer candidates, based on the ILO financial education manuals This “certificate of participation” is issued based on the attendance and participation in the O-TOT course and allows trainer candidates to deliver the first series of 3 courses on their certification process. The ILO National trainer certification will take place in 2024 and will be certified by a separate “certificate of achievement”.
